現在担当している役割は?

主としては加工品担当の営業として主に遠方の新規開拓をやりながら、新卒採用も任せていただいています。
仕事の面白さ、やりがいは?

まったく同じ形の製品はないので、毎回初めて見る形状をどうやって作るのか考えることは好奇心が刺激されるので楽しいですよ。
辰己屋金属に入社された時のエピソードやきっかけは?

営業職ということ以外にはあまりこだわらず就職活動をしている中で、動いている機械を見るのが好きで、手先が不器用なので作ることはできないがものづくりに興味はあったという理由で辰己屋金属を選びました。
実際に働いてみて、働く前と後で印象が変わった点は?

これまでものづくりの現場を知らなかったのですが、就職後は現場に触れ、経験を積めるようになりました。
特に印象に残っているお仕事や達成感のエピソードは?

自社製品が実生活の意外なところで使われているのを見聞きし、“あの場に弊社商品があるかもしれない”と思うと達成感で思わず笑ってしまいます。
職場の雰囲気や一緒に働くメンバーの印象は?

京都には営業担当が私含め3人いますが、フラットで相談や軽い冗談が言い合える良い環境です。
今後挑戦していきたいこと、成長していきたい分野は?

全国各地にお客様がいる中、関西以外の東海・関東・九州など広域にも販路を広げ、“関西だけの会社”から脱却したいです。

What is your current role?

My primary role is as a sales representative for processed goods, focusing mainly on developing new business in remote areas, and I am also responsible for recruiting new graduates.
What makes this job interesting and rewarding?

Since no two products are exactly alike, it’s fun to figure out how to make a shape I’ve never seen before—it really sparks my curiosity.
What led you to join Tatsumiya Metal, and do you have any stories about that time?

While I wasn’t particularly picky about my job search beyond the fact that I wanted a sales position, I chose Tatsumiya Metal because I enjoy watching machinery in action and, although I’m not very good with my hands and can’t actually build things myself, I’ve always been interested in manufacturing.
Now that you’ve actually worked there, what aspects have changed in your impression compared to before you started?

I had never been involved in the manufacturing process before, but after starting this job, I’ve been able to get hands-on experience and gain practical skills.
Are there any projects or achievements that stand out in your memory?

Whenever I see or hear about our products being used in unexpected places in everyday life, and think, “Our product might be there,” I can’t help but smile with a sense of accomplishment.
What is the workplace atmosphere like, and what is your impression of your coworkers?

There are three sales representatives in Kyoto, including myself, and we have a great, informal atmosphere where we can easily consult with one another and share light-hearted jokes.
What challenges do you want to take on in the future, and in which areas do you want to grow?

With customers across the country, we aim to expand our sales channels to broader regions such as the Tokai, Kanto, and Kyushu areas—beyond just the Kansai region—and move beyond being “just a Kansai-based company.”
